Hello Arjun! How Are You? What do you have scheduled for today?
Hey guys! I’m great thanks .. just got home after an intense weekend of gigs in Bombay & Bangalore … time to chill out a bit
Please tell us a bit about your latest releases!
My new EP just released a week ago on Pleasurcrakt’s Kraftek. It’s a 2 track EP, with Illuminate being the A side. I’m always trying to do something new with my productions, and this new one is totally different to anything I’ve done in the past.
Which release was the one who gave you the most attention so far?
I think my biggest release to date was Terrakoz released on Trapez. The track got a many plays from all the big names, Carl Coz played it out for almost a year – including on his BBC radio 1 Essential Mix. The other was probably ‘She Said’ that got plays from Richie Hawtin maybe 20 times over the Ibiza season.
Tell us a bit about your upcoming releases! Is there anything special planned in 2016?
I’ve been slow in the studio for the last year coz of my travels. I moved to NYC and didn’t have a proper studio so things were tough, but I’m back in India and have been working on a lot of mew music now. My next EP is on Paul Ritch’s Quarts label – I’ve always wanted to do something on Quartz as its been a favourite for many years, and I finally connected with Paul when we played together in Goa for Awakenings, and he immediately loved the tracks and signed them. Lots more planned for the year.
India´s #1 DJ in a row! Congrats therefore mate! What difference do you see between the India and European Techno scene?
Thank You. Its always a pleasure wining awards, so much so that after I won them 2 years in a row, the orginers asked me not to take part in them to give others a chance. Haha!!
The scene in India at the moment is really good – I’m playing a lot of gigs in ever city and they have all been really amazing. It’s a great feeling to see that finally 20 years of pushing the music in India is paying off.
As you are touring a lot, please tell us something about your experience around the globe. What is your favourite city or country and why?
I love visiting new cities and playing for new audiences. Being an India, its really tough coz of visa restrictions and the actual travel time since we are cut off, but in the end it’s the experience that counts, and I’m proud to represent my country. My favourite would probably be Tokyo, Barcelona, Berlin & NYC, not just for the gigs but also coz all these 3 cities have some much more to offer. Great food, amazing people and the vibe of the city itself.
What was your funniest or craziest experience while touring?
Lots of crazy things happen on tour – but I guess its best those stories are not told 😉
What were your TOP 5 gigs so far?
Wow – that’s a really tough question … I would say
Baum in Bogota
Womb in Tokyo
Bijou in Boston
Fusion Festival in Germany
BPM Festival in Mexico
What are your top 5 tracks that are really working the dance floor in your sets at the moment?
Planet E (Dense & Pika Remix) – Tiga

Black Mamba (Original Mix) – Kaiserdisco
Despierta (Original Mix) – Weska
