LABELS: KNEE DEEP IN SOUND / HEINZ MUSIC / MATERIAL SERIES / MONZA IBIZA REC. / GROOVE ON
Some talk about nights in Chicago, others claim that they’ve seen him in Berlin. Many speak about Madrid. Many say that he’s been his club at the DJ table but we really don’t know and it doesnt’ matter.
Everything’s in the music, in the rythm and overall in the freedom of the beat. In the end, its all about FreedomB.
With influences directly from jazz, funk or soul, from the first house and Electronic rythms, FreedomB is in search of the constant groove that will make you dance from sun to sun, or from noon to morning.
Endless sets laser focused on the dance floor and beats to a slow fire are the elements of an artist that has no respect to silence.
FreedomB has already gathered support from artist like Onno, Affkt, Kiki or Jacob Phono, who have already collaborated in his latest releases.
This has been the pinnacle of yet many stories to be told.
Now just let the music speak for itself and give yourself to dance…
Hello Alberto! How Are You? What do you have scheduled for today?
Hello guys. First of all, thanks a lot to invite me. It’s a pleasure. I was playing this morning in Suicide Circus so looks like a lazy day although the sun is sinning. Maybe enjoy later little bit outside with some friends and after that, studio.
Please tell us a bit about your latest releases!
Actually July was a really cool month for me. I released with my big friend Oriol Mubu on Hot Since 82’s label, Knee Deep In Sound, with Steve Lawler, Sante, Sidney Charles, Montel etc…. Was into the Ibiza Sampler 2015 and we got a lot of support and promo so happy about it.
In June was my release on Playmobil, sub-label of Material Series and in the following months is coming some collabs, remix and solo Eps. Day by day, step by step. You know 😉
Which release was the one who gave you the most attention so far?
Actually one of your MFF guys said me some tips in the past to get more attention into the German market. Finally I’m not from here so I need time to be a part of it.
The last month of February I released on Heinz Music and this was, I think, one big step for me here. After that, a lot of things happened: new Agency, more gigs, new collabs, Hot Since’s release… Everything is going ok so I’m really grateful for everything that is happening in my life right now.
Tell us a bit about your upcoming releases! Is there anything special planned till end of the year?
In the next months are coming some stuffs on O.L.A. Records, label from Berlin, one funky / house EP on Viva Recordings, housy label of USA with a huge remix of Pezzner, I did a remix for my friend Marco Marset…
At the same time I’m working in several track with my friend Dilby. Three are almost done and we are working in two more. Then lets think about proper labels to release them so hope to give you nice news soon
As you are touring a lot, please tell us something about your experience around the globe. What is your favourite city or country and why?
Since I’m living in Berlin my life and mentality change completely. I’m trying to have fun wherever I am but if I honest, when I travel to Madrid to see my family, friends etc.…. I don’t know why but it’s really special for me.
I’m living in Berlin from 2012 so sometimes, but only sometimes, I miss so much my city and the people. It’s a natural feeling I think.
You were moving to Berlin a while ago. How do you like it, what is different comparing to Madrid?
Here in Berlin you can eat currywurst and drink Club Mate and in Madrid not. It’s a joke.
Both cities are awesome. I’m really sad cause we are living in Spain a disgusting economic / politic situation and we had a lot of troubles around the last years but I’m really optimistic. Here in Germany I never had problems, my DJ career is much better than in Spain, I found my girl, meet awesome people…. Not everything, but almost everything was and is actually so cool. My Berlin step changed my life totally.
For sure we are so different in a lot of aspects but this is the good thing of this game. If not will be so boring.
What was your funniest or craziest experience while touring?
Was like two years ago. I played at Monza Ibiza Records Showcase during the Off Sonar week and then we did an Ibiza showcase.
I arrived in Barcelona around 12:00. I was little bit at Moon Harbour showcase to say hello some guys and then MIR party. A friend of us rent a flat to sleep some hours before the Ibiza’s flight but he forgot the keys inside it and we couldn’t sleep. You can imagine after all the day making party, play in the showcase etc.… Was horrible.
The airport control was easy, and then we arrived in Ibiza. Was really hot so we decide to go to the beach before the gig. I couldn’t play cause the showcase not was good, sometimes happened and more in Ibiza, and after that I went directly from the club to the airport. I did a really long stop in Stuttgart and finally I arrived in Berlin so tired.
