Juliet’s presence on the Techno scene cannot be ignored, her rise has been swift and relentless with countless production success alongside her increasing demand for DJ performances gracing some of the most famous stages and DJ booths across the globe.
Collaborating this year with Ramiro Lopez has resulted in two Techno anthems with ‘Twisted’ released on Ramiro’s own ODD imprint and the recent ‘Come Closer’ released via the mighty Drumcode being one of Adam Beyer’s stand out tracks in his DJ sets.
Recent gigs have seen Juliet travel across Asia on an extensive tour taking in Thailand, South Korea, China, Singapore & Malaysia alongside performances in her home city of Berlin and across Germany, Finland, South Africa, Australia, the USA & more.
Currently in the studio finishing some new material after her recent Toolroom Trax release entitled ‚6AM‘ which features Juliet’s own unique vocals alongside her trademark production style. With another recent collaboration this time with Arjun Vagale creating a stand out release on Odd Recordings – ‘Radiate’ which has been supported by the likes of Sam Paganini, Alan Fitzpatrick, Pleasurekraft, and Noir.
Hello mate! How Are You? What do you have scheduled for today?
Hey Lars, I’m good thanks J I got back from Tirana in Albania last night, as I had a gig there. So today I am catching up on emails, promos and preparing myself for my gigs this week.
Please tell us a bit about your latest releases!
My last two releases have been on Odd Recordings, with vocal features from myself.
‘Ramiro Lopez – Twisted ft Juliet Fox (Pleasurekraft Remix)’, and ‘Arjun Vagale – Radiate ft. Juliet Fox (Original Mix)’. Plus my own release on Toolroom Trax called 6AM – which included the Original Mix, an Afterhours Mix and my Acappella.
Which release was the one who gave you the most attention so far?
It was another collaboration with Ramiro Lopez with a track called “Come Closer” out on Drumcode, which also featured my vocal in it. It was a pretty big release, which was being played everywhere this year!
Tell us a bit about your upcoming releases! Is there anything special planned?
I have been working on a lot of my own original stuff the last couple of months, and just fine tuning these now. But I have some exciting projects / collabs on the way and another pretty big release early in the year…so I am definitely looking forward to 2018 😉
As you are touring a lot, please tell us something about your experience. What is your favourite city or country and why?
I have been away a lot this year, and on big haul trips especially in the last few month. But every place is special in its own way, the people, and vibe can vary so much every time. But I always love playing back in Australia (where I am originally from) as the underground scene is building up so nicely there, and every time I go back it gets better and better across all the cities.
What were your TOP 5 gigs so far?
This is actually really hard to narrow down, as I have had some really incredible gigs! But I would say my top five from this year would be.
1. Both Afrikaburn and Burning Man – which I played at this year for the first time
2. Coda in Toronto, Canada
3. The Council (Headquarters) in Singapore
4. Jungle Experience in Koh Phangan, Thailand
5. Projekt in Beirut, Lebanon
What are your top 5 tracks that are really working the dance floor in your sets at the moment?
1. Ramiro Lopez – Twisted Ft. Juliet Fox (Pleasurekraft Remix)
2. Reset Robot – Earth Or Immortality (Original Mix)
3. Noir – Bataille (Original Mix)
4. Seph (AR) – Aces (Original Mix)
5. Robert Hood – I Am (Original Mix)
Thank you for your time and this interesting interview!
