Growing up in Paris, Ron Costa has developed a sound that breathes the atmosphere of a big capital city. Having spent several years in the studio, he has paid his dues and firmly established himself as one of the finest French producers and DJs around. Since 2007, he has also been running his own successful imprint Potobolo Records, which is the embodiment of Ron’s present day electronic music taste and sensibility.

2016 was a big year for Ron as he released numerous tracks which enjoyed widespread support from both DJ and producer peers in the industry. This resounding track success has enabled Ron to tour the globe extensively, spreading his unique sound to thousands of enthusiasts.

Though the public have come to know him for a softer, more tech house orientated sound, in recent times Ron’s sound has evolved and signified a return to his roots: Techno. Over the course of this journey, however, one thing however has remained.. Ron never once lost touch with what makes him the musician that he is.

Hello mate!  How Are You? What do you have scheduled for today?
Hello Lars, first, thanks for having me ! Nothing special for today, I have a lot of work in my studio so  I think my schedule is done for today, some remixes & compositions to finish and I will finish with some mastering.

Please tell us a bit about your latest releases!
I’m really happy with my latest releases because I worked with some good labels.
Especially, Octopus Recordings & Alleanez they are really serious and I love to work with them, all the team is great, they are doing a great job. I’m planning to work on more releases with them. Also Potobolo Records, my  label, I did some Eps on it.

Which release was the one who gave you the most attention so far ?
I think it was “Gez Uri” released on Potobolo records in 2013, I received so much love for this release, thanks to the fans ! 2 years later, we had this great idea to work on a bootleg with Eats Everything, Tiga & Audion, it was a huge challenge and we made the number 2 on Beatport, so that was a great bet !
