Labels :Voltage Musique, SNOE
Born in Berlin and still living, loving & working in this beautiful pulsating city. Founder of “Voltage Musique Records” and “Cascandy” as well as part of “The Glitz” and “Hennon”. Feeling home at the well established and in Bremen based “Plantage13” family. Releasing on record labels like IDEAL Audio, Voltage Musique, Confused Recordings, Herzblut, AREAL, Kiddaz.FM, Material and Toolroom. Truly one of the most productive people in electronic music scene even if you don’t know. You can find him behind the scenes since the mid 90’s as a producer, label owner, mastering-engineer and of course as a DJ. A vast number of productions, publications and releases are the result of 15 years studio and label experience.
Andreas is located somewhere between Tech-house, Minimal and Techno simply because he is killing all borders around. In his Dj-Sets he is summing up these genres in a very compatible and functional way.
Hello Andreas !! How Are You? What do you have scheduled for today?
I’m fine, thanks! Spent the whole day at my studio while the sun is shining outside.
Tons of paperwork, mixdown’s, label work and answering this interview.
Not really creative but this is how it is nowadays. 😉
Please tell us a bit about your latest releases!
I recently did an EP on my new label “SNOE” called “Proper Job EP”.
2 tracks with remixes by Channel X & Luca M
Another track called “Alte Schule” was released on “Voltage Musique” a few weeks ago.
Which release was the one who gave you the most attention so far?
That’s hard to say and not really measurable. I released round about 300 tracks already on a lot of nice labels. I’m very thankful that there was no big hit yet because this can also destroy the freedom of making what you like.
Tell us a bit about your upcoming releases! Is there anything special planned for 2016?
Yes of course..
6th of June a my new EP “Little Bits” will be released on Voltage Musique. Including a really nice remix by Mr. Christian Burkhardt.
There will be a release on Marc Romboy’s Systematic Recordings, a new EP on SNOE as well.
I’m also working hard on my next album scheduled for 2017 then. No time to be lazy..
You are Label owner (Voltage Musique, SNOE) , Producer, and every weekend touring. How do you handle this massive weekly schedule?
The point is, I’m not alone.. We are a team of 3 guys running Voltage Musique since 14 years now.
Everybody knows exactly what to do. The label SNOE is run by Beth Lydi and myself the same way.
The most time floats in our booking & management agency HenMountain www.henmountain.com
Also the audio mastering service is quite a lot of work and needs to be handled with care.
On weekends it’s touring.. It’s doable in 7 days a week.
As you are touring a lot, please tell us something about your experience around the globe. What is your favourite city or country and why?
In fact I’m also touring with my other projects “The Glitz” and “Cascandy” it’s quite a lot of traveling.
It’s a very big privilege to work in this business getting the chance to travel the world, play gigs and earn enough money to cover your life. This is not oviously and I’m very thankful for that.
My favourite country is maybe Israel. I love the vibe, the people and the energy you can feel everywhere.
What was your funniest or craziest experience while touring?
The most funniest and craziest things are not made for writing them down.
Thank you for your time and this interesting interview!
