Biography

This story starts in Naples in a period in which techno music was widespread around the city. At that time a young boy called Aniello, born in 1988, began to listen and play this kind of music, he was really young but also very talented and spent every day trying to improve himself.

After a short amount of time people in the city started to recognize him and this is how the name Hollen was born. The young boy shared the decks with legendary characters of the techno tales like Rino Cerrone and the American Josh Wink, so he decided it was the moment of true for him, the proper time to become a producer.

After weeks spent in his little studio Hollen understood how to produce a track in his own style and his first work on Nubit was born! Kling Klong, Suara, Agile Recordings and many other labels released his creations and his adventure officially began. Hollen was really happy but he knew that something was missing and one day during a walk in the city he understood that was time for a big collaboration with Pirupa, another italian talented producer.

The work was born and released on Saved Records and a group of well knower iconic figures like Richie Hawtin, Marco Carola and Loco Dice told to Hollen and Pirupa how good this track was.

This story is not end yet and a new chapter it’s in the making so stay tuned if you want to know how this techno tale goes on!

Hello Aniello! How Are You? What do you have scheduled for today?
Hello Guys! I’m fine, working in my studio on some new tracks. Hopefully I will be able to test the new music this Friday at Magdalena in Berlin.

Please tell us a bit about your latest releases!
My latest release?! Lol.. I’ve been really prolific with the end of the last year and the beginning of the new one. I released on Terminal M, Stick Recordings, Riot, Driving Forces and of course on my own label Prospect records. I had the chance to remix artists that I really love as Felix Krocher, Pig & Dan and my friends Alberto Ruiz and Irregular Synth.
Redrum music released yesterday the Yellowheads EP, Nervo, including my remix and I received already very good feedbacks and supports.

Which release was the one who gave you the most attention so far?
I don’t know which one gave me the most attention, I think that working always with nice and Good labels as Deeperfect, Terminal M, Suara etc.. helps to get real followers who really love your music and this is most important than charts or statements. So, to reply to your question, I think that my regularity gave me the most attention.

Tell us a bit about your upcoming releases! Is there anything special planned in 2016?
I decided to invest more time on my own label Prospect records but besides this of course I have upcoming releases on different labels. I still can’t talk about it but you will se my name on label I did already, something new and new collaborations. A nice way to say stay tuned!! Lol

As you are touring a lot, please tell us something about your experience around the globe. What is your favourite city or country and why?
I know, I know.. I’m very lucky since I had the chance to travel all around the world more and more time. I only miss one place so far.. Australia but we are working to add this fantastic journey to my experiences. Honestly I don’t have a place that I like more than the others. I like the idea to be an unusual italian gipsy who loves every place where he plays. In Europe I love to play in germnay because I feel the people really into the music and I love Spain because of the crazy and superfriendly people.

What was your funniest or craziest experience while touring?
No guys, we are talking about something that it can’t be written. Lol
If we will ever have the chance to talk in front of a nice beer I have many many many crazy experience to talk about. So let’s save a bit of dignity and let’s talk about one of my best travel of ever, my south african shows. I feel really lucky to have had such a great experience, I played first in Cape Town and then in a Festival in the middle of nowhere in Joannesburg.
Both were GREAT, people super friendly and a wordless nature.
In Joannesburg the day after the party at my awakening, I found a real donkey next to my door looking at me. I thought it was my spiriti guide.

What were your TOP 5 gigs so far?
Only 5? So, here you go:
Ministry Of Sound (London)
Space (Miami)
New Guass (Bilbao)
Dockyard Festival (Amsterdam)
Dream Festival (Messico)

What are your top 5 tracks that are really working the dance floor in your sets at the moment?
