Biography

Sometimes you are creating a declaration of love – automatically.
Beatamines composed many of those lines for extraordinary dancing people, for electronic music and the possibility to express himself with tracks like „How Never“ or „Swaggin“.

His tracks and remixes were released on Upon You, Bondage – Music, OFF Recordings, Stil vor Talent and on his hombebase, David Keno’s imprint Keno Records.
But Beatamines does not only work as a solo producer, he also releases tracks with his mate David Jach – each number got a place in the charts and Beatamines was elected to one of the best newcomers in the last two years.

Now the German nice guy is nearly booked up and he is on the way to being an honoured unique DJ, Liveact and Producer beyond Europe. Pascal Augner, that‘s the real name of Beatamines, waggles busy with his declarations of love and writes new ones every day. He’s packing the emotions of a summer love into it, underlined with fat baselines, pregnant claps and magic melodies.

2013 was a good and successful year for Pascal. He reinterpreted „The Planets“ together with David Jach and the Dortmund Philharmonics (100 man strong orchestra) Gustav Holst. That was a very great honour for him, music remixing and re-writing for such a huge body of sound.
Due to popular demand, the project „Groove Symphony“ will be continued.

In the beginning of 2014 the restless Thuringia has established a new project with his pal „Mirco Niemeier“ called „Ektschn!“ Both boys are very diligent! Theirs first tunes have appeared on labels such as Sunset Handjob, OFF recordings and Kindisch (Get Physical) 3 2 1 and ektschn!

Catch him, if you can… and don’t forget to have your Beatamines!

Interview

Hello Pascal! How Are You? What do you have scheduled for today?
Hello! Thanks I’m very well.
Today I will spend a lot of time with my sweet daughter. We are a right playground junkies!
And in the evening I am glad about my studio work!

Does your Pseudonym “Beatamines” have a deeper meaning?
Yes it is a wordplay from „rhythm“ and „vitamins“ I love to program it beats, however, besides, must sound music also vital (alive).

As well you are running a second project together w/ Mirco Niemeier called “Ektschn!” .
What is the idea behind and are there differences between both projects?

The idea behind „Ektschn!“ is . . . PURE FUN! 😉 No seriously, I like it very much how mirco produced. And he makes apparently also what I do in the studio. *laughing
Topically we celebrate 1 year of Ektschn! And we are really proud of our common cooperation. There is hot stuff in the pipeline. So stay tuned.

Please tell us a bit about your latest releases!
I’m really happy about my latest release together with my pal David Keno on berlin based Heinz Music. Two funky tech house banger rounded up with an Amazing remix from our friends Piemont! Listen is worthwhile!

Which release was the one who gave you the most attention so far?
I think there were two “Key-releases” for me, on the one hand my debut album „In Motion“ and secondly my releases on Keno Records (How Never and Swaggin) I’ve got a huge support from Artist like, Carl Cox, Marco Carola, Jesse Rose & Oliver $ and many others! It was a huge step for me and my music.

Tell us a bit about your upcoming releases! Is there anything special planned for 2015?
Yes definitively! My second studio album „Echoes“ It puts quite a lot of soul in it! Many I you knows know I am very many-sided and I would like to show this to you at „Echoes“. It has become very coloured.

As you are touring a lot, please tell us something about your experience around the globe. What is your favourite city or country and why?
Because I am not so completely a world stroller, rather kind of a Studio nerd, but I like Europe already very much. I would like to prefer no country or town. I like towns in those the people are easy-going. I like small romantic alleys, however, also picture book beaches. I draw inspiration from natural beauty extremely. Mostly I enjoy the rushing of the sea around by to breathe and to fill up with energy.

What was your funniest or craziest experience while touring?
It was approx. 2 years ago. Great Open air with fantastic vibes and the weather was really sweet. But then it happened – a guy peed in the technology (amp’s & co) and the music stopped for a while. Everyone got freeze.

What were your TOP 5 gigs in 2014?

Level 6, Darmstadt / Hive, Zurich / Bullitt, Munich / Traumsafari Festival, Geiselwind / Baalsaal, Hamburg

What are your top 5 tracks that are really working the dance floor in your sets at the moment?

1. Einmusik – Voyage – Einmusika
2. Beatamines & David Keno – Scratch – Heinz Music
3. Detlef – Rolling Stoned – Viva Music
4. Pysh – Saint Greed (Beatamines Remix) – Einmusika
5. Filsonik – Dogfish (Original Mix) – Hot Creations
