Biography

Twisted Fusion label boss Apollo 84 has taken the global house scene by storm in 2016 with his energetic driving sounds. His music has gathered the attention of Steve Lawler’s Viva Music which saw him releasing his first ep with the infamous label and gaining Radio 1 support from non other than Pete Tong. Previously to this Apollo 84 had seen success with Spanish giants Elrow music, and Kerri Chandlers MadTech imprint to name but a few, looking forward to 2017 and Apollo 84 has music being released by Incorrect Music, Leftwing & Kody’s Lost imprint, and Hector Couto’s Roush label. Whilst Apollo 84’s own imprint Twisted Fusion continues to gain support with big releases from the likes of Jey Kurmis, Jacky, Max Chapman, Anek, Seff, Paul C & Paolo Martini to name but a few. 2017 certainly looks like being another big year for Apollo 84 cementing himself as one of the top global artists within the tech house scene.

Interview

Hello mate!  How Are You? What do you have scheduled for today?
So today I am currently working on a remix with Max Chapman, we are remixing a a release from Paul C & Paolo Martini that will be coming out next year on Twisted Fusion.

Please tell us a bit about your latest releases!
My latest release is a three track ep on Steve Lawler’s Viva Music, which also includes a remix from Seff. The tracks are tough underground grooves with some brooding hard synths.

Which release was the one who gave you the most attention so far?
Obviously my latest release on viva has done really well for me and gathered a lot of support, but previously to this I think my ep on Cuartero’s Sanity label and my V.A. appearance’s on elrow brought me good attention.

Tell us a bit about your upcoming releases! Is there anything special planned?
Currently I’ve got quite a nice release schedule planned with releases coming up on Incorrect Music with remixes from Simone Liberali, and Montel, both of which I’ve always been massive fans of, after this I have Twisted fusion, followed by Hector Couto’s Roush imprint, then Leftwing & Kody’s Lost records which I am hugely excited about.

As you are touring a lot, please tell us something about your experience around the globe. What is your favourite city or country and why?
Yes my next tour is mid November in Mexico, I am really excited to visit here, previously I’ve enjoyed Ibiza as many dj’s do, but my favorite has to be Barcelona when I played for Elrow at Sonar in the summer, A great city and a really great enthusiastic crowd. Saint Petersburg in Russia recently was also another amazing city I visited and the people were fantastic.

What was your funniest or craziest experience while touring?
Haha theres always a few, maybe some i cant mention on here though. one has to be recently at ADE in Amsterdam we took a taxi and the driver wasn’t the best and within thirty seconds had crashed trying to cross a bridge and nearly put us in one of the canals, I cant swim either so that could’ve ended up going a bit pear shaped haha.

What were your TOP 5 gigs so far?
Elrow in Barcelona was immense, its simply one of the best party’s on the planet, other highlights have to be playing in Saint Petersburg in Russia the crowd were great and the scenery immense. Playing in Space on the terrace on the penultimate Sunday was another great experience ill never forget, whilst the closing party at Eden was another great show, going back to back with Max Chapman we had a great time. UK wise our last label show in London was great, and as I was closing it I played some of my favorite classics, its always nice to see the crowd singing along and going home happy at the end of a night.

Thank you for your time and this interesting interview!
